We started our trip to California with a visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. This place is amazing. Definitely put it on your list of places to visit if you are anywhere near Monterey/Carmel. There is an entrance fee of $29 per adult, children are about half of that, but I will say it is worth EVERY penny. (and you can spend the entire day there, easy, especially with children. We stayed for 4 hours and we're adults. So you can imagine with little ones how long you can be there. Food there is amazing as well.)
We started walking around to the different areas of the aquarium. Check out these jelly fish! The colors were amazing.
Next we headed to the penguins. I LOVED them!
Every turn, there was something new to discover.
|This one is my favorite. I love that the fish are swimming in a never ending circle.|
Did you know I wanted to be a marine biologist when I was little? Until my mom told me I would have to live in a shack on the sea. That didn't stop me from being in the Marine Biology club at Byrd Middle School. I was even in the paper. I know, I'm pretty cool.
Dear Monterey Bay Aquarium... I'd love to come back and visit again. We had the best time.
|Inside a waterfall cave... very fun.|
More of our trip to come... it was so nice to get away for a few days and relax. Now back to real life and getting ready for the holidays coming up. I need some gift ideas that are different. Send me some good ideas if you have them!
