Kermit...

Road Trips.  No matter where we go together, Dallas, Tulsa, Baton Rouge... it's a fun time.  I know people hate driving, but it's really not that bad when you have a fun partner in crime.

As we left for Tulsa this last weekend, we were forced to exit the highway early due to a wreck.  Stephen navigated us through miles and miles of back roads, which ended up being really fun.

The sunset was gorgeous.  We just barely caught it with these pics.  But we loved driving out in the country, of East Texas, and eventually ended up in Jefferson, TX.  They had the cutest downtown!

As we drove, we listened to a new CD (yes, we still buy CD's... they make me happy.)

His name is Brandon Flowers, lead singer of The Killers. Great CD, his voice is great too.  I also love the album cover.  Cute little Drexel desk there.  Darling!

Anyway, we drove and had our chicken salad sandwiches I had made before we left... then we stopped and got a little sweet to eat to keep us going.  We finally pulled into Tulsa around 12:30 am.  We were pretty sleepy.

We must have picked up a little hitchhiker as we drove.  We were greeted with this the next morning.

Huh, what is that in my front bumper grill?  (I'm sure that's not what it's called... but that's my name for it)

Closer look... it's a frog.

And then Stephen got silly and tried to kick him out.  Come on out and join us Kermit.

He's waving and saying "Wassssuppppp?"

Thank you Kermit for joining us on our road trip.  We enjoyed having you.

Turtle turtle turtle is all I think when I look at your Volvo
Grill/bumper. Yes, we hit the worlds largest turtle that
clearly escaped via Galapagos island. Or Dallas zoo.
Why is everyone finding this so hard to believe?
The man who tried to kidnap me on our "don't you think we hit a Turtle too? Please, take our keys and tell us what you think" seemed to think so. Road Trips are awe -some.
