Honeymoon to Carmel Valley...

Last month, Stephen and I said "I do" and off we went to California.  It was gorgeous, weather was awesome and the food and wine... amazing!

I know I'm going to have a lot of pictures in this post... but who can sum up a week in paradise?  I cannot.

This is a corkscrew tree.  It's what they make corks out of.  It's spongy to the touch.  So cool!

Close up of the cork ;)

Lavender grew wild there.  Along with Rosemary.  The entire region smelled like a spa.  A-mazing.
Chef Wine dinner at our hotel.

One night, we attended a chef's wine dinner at our hotel.  They even had our names on our menu.  The detail was amazing.  See all the wine glasses?  We had 6 course pairings from Lail Vineyards.  The owner of the vineyard came and we had the best time getting to know her.  There were only 14 of us at the dinner, so we sat at one big table.  Very intimate.

I love his bow ties.  So did the people at the dinner.  We were the youngest in attendance by about 20 years.

Point Lobos State Park.  There were baby seals being born there!  You can also whale watch and see all sorts of fun animals, depending on the time of the year.

The Lodge at Pebble Beach.  How cute are the bell hops?  You can see the water (and the 18th hole) just through the window.

Above is the 18th hole at Pebble Beach.  It was so beautiful.  You can see people playing the course, which was fun to see people finish their rounds there.  Pebble beach was gorgeous and we hope to go back very soon ;)  Makes a girl want to take up golf.

It was pretty cold that day... mostly because of the wind.  But we didn't mind!

Back to the beach ;)  Just a silly little pic.

Dinner at Roy's, a Hawaiian infused restaurant in pebble beach.  They gave us necklaces when they found out it was our honeymoon.  Everyone in the restaurant congratulated us.  Food was really good too, and the view of the sunset was amazing!

Flowers in Carmel Valley.  My favorite ;)

Lauren and Tate sent us flowers!  How sweet is that!

Leaving.  In our convertible.  I was very sad.

Good bye California.  Please invite me back soon.  I loved every moment being with you.
